The driver of the Harley Davidson has been identified as 40-year-old David Christopher Lewis from Warner Robins, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT-DT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is looking into a deadly traffic accident that occurred this morning on Hawkinsville Road, just north of the Allen Road intersection.
The accident was reported to the Macon-Bibb E-911 Center at 7:33 a.m. Authorities state that a Chevrolet Avalanche was making a left turn onto Hawkinsville Road from a gas station when it struck a Harley Davidson motorcycle traveling northbound. The driver of the Avalanche, a 42-year-old male from Macon, was taken to a medical facility and is currently stable, according to medical staff. The motorcyclist, a 40-year-old man from Warner Robins, was pronounced dead on the scene by Deputy Coroner Richard Robinson. His name has not been released at this time.
All lanes on Hawkinsville Road were temporarily closed from Houston Road to Allen Road during the investigation but have since reopened.
