(Franklin County, Indiana) - On Sunday, June 1 at around 2:54 p.m., Franklin County Sheriff’s Department deputies responded to a report of a motorcycle crash on State Road 252, near Raymond Road.

Upon arrival, deputies found that Jeffery D. Ogle, a 67-year-old from Cincinnati, was riding a 2007 Harley Davidson westbound on S.R. 252. For reasons yet to be determined, Ogle lost control of the motorcycle, veering off the north side of the road and colliding with a fence. He was ejected from the bike.

Sadly, Ogle was declared dead at the scene by the Franklin County Coroner’s Office. S.R. 252 was closed for approximately 1.5 hours while the investigation took place.

Assistance at the scene was provided by the Drewersburg Volunteer Fire Department, Letts E.M.S., and the Franklin County Coroner’s Office. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
