In what could be the ultimate metal crossover, Bethesda has joined forces with Harley Davidson to craft an extraordinary one-of-a-kind Doom motorcycle. This bike draws its inspiration from the latest installment of the iconic series, Doom: The Dark Ages—a medieval interpretation of demonic destruction on Earth. While the concept may seem a bit perplexing, the resulting unique ride is certainly one I’d be thrilled to tear through the streets on.
The Sportster S motorcycle, adorned in Doom-themed graphics, is arguably the coolest bike I’ve ever laid eyes on, an impressive feat considering the innate allure of motorcycles. This masterpiece has been developed in collaboration with artists from id Software, and it truly radiates the essence of Doom—hopefully not leaking out from the fuel tank. A motorcycle seems like the perfect partner for a game that boasts “the best gore in the industry”.
The custom dashboard is designed around Serrat, the new mechanized dragon from Doom: The Dark Ages. Serrat’s menacing maw is cleverly positioned around the front headlight, offering an eye-catching fire-breathing effect for this Sportster S. Additional parts of the bike showcase armor inspired by the game, complete with runes and bespoke LEDs.
Some of these lights are strategically placed low to create the illusion of dragon wings while riding, which might just be one of the most badass accessories for a bike I’ve ever heard of. Plus, the glowing red wheels are reminiscent of themed PC fans. Naturally, this RGB lighting is a clear indicator that this is a gamer bike, along with the prominent Doom: The Dark Ages logo on the side.
“Creating this DOOM: The Dark Ages motorcycle with the support of Harley-Davidson is truly a match made in Hell,” proclaimed Simon Alty, VP and Managing Director (APAC) at Bethesda Softworks. “The iconic motorcycle brand represents power and style, much like our legendary DOOM Slayer. What better way to celebrate the launch of the latest DOOM installment than with this incredibly powerful mecha-dragon motorcycle? We’re excited for all fans to see this mythical beast come to life.”
