Blast is right…Literally!…Here’s a shot of me riding US HWY 129 the "Tail of the Dragon" on the curve "Little Whip" shot by Killboy.com. I rediscovered this photo tonight on one of my backup drives and thought it would be fun to share. The motorcycle I was riding was my hot-rodded Harley Davidson Dyna Wide Glide with a 36-inch rake on the front end. Soon afterwards I traded up to a Road King and loved it. Ultimately, I decided to sell it back to the dealership to fully dedicate my free time to landscape and waterfall photography. The ironic twist to this story is, most of the waterfalls I’ve discovered and hiked to are off the same two-lane mountain roads I used to ride…. from Chattanooga, Tennessee all the way to Grandfather Mountain in North Caralina and all the two-lane highways leading towards and crossing over the Blue Ridge Parkway on both sides.
