Last year, Harley-Davidson set a new standard with the introduction of the CVO Road Glide ST. Now, they have pushed the envelope even further by unveiling the incredibly exclusive and exorbitantly priced CVO Road Glide RR, with a jaw-dropping sticker of USD 110,000.
- Only 131 units of the CVO Road Glide RR will be produced
- Incorporates the same technology as the race-spec King of the Bagger bikes
- Significant use of carbon fiber makes it 22.7kg lighter than the CVO Road Glide ST
The CVO Road Glide ST boasted a robust 121 CI engine (1,982cc), but Harley has added an extra 10 CI to the CVO RR’s powerplant. This massive 131ci (2,147cc) V-Twin engine delivers 153hp and a tremendous 204Nm. For perspective, these power figures could easily compete with those of a mid-sized SUV.
Despite featuring a larger displacement engine compared to the CVO Road Glide ST, the RR maintains a weight of just 356kg—22.7kg lighter than the ST. This lighter weight is largely attributed to Harley’s substantial use of carbon fiber, from the front fairing and fender to the rear fender. Nonetheless, as a bagger, it comes equipped with a 12.3-inch TFT display along with speakers integrated into the fairing.
The performance specifications are equally impressive. Braking is handled by Brembo’s GP4 RX calipers paired with dual 320mm rotors, guaranteeing exceptional stopping power. In terms of suspension, Harley has opted for top-end Öhlins components, featuring the race-inspired USD FGR 253 fork. For the exhaust system, Harley Davidson has collaborated with Akrapovic to craft a titanium end-can. This setup is identical to the one found on the King of the Baggers race bike, which helps explain both its staggering price and its limited production.
It would be fair to describe this meticulously crafted swingarm as a work of art. This 18kg piece is hand-machined from a solid block of CNC billet aluminum weighing 220kg, and is yet another feature drawn from the race bike.
Harley-Davidson has outfitted this motorcycle with nearly all the hardware and technology featured in its MotoAmerica King of the Bagger contender. For those fortunate few with deep pockets and a passion for the King of the Bagger series, H-D offers this road-legal replica for a cool USD 110,000 (approximately Rs 95.77 lakh).
