Larry Holokai | Updates on News, Sports, and Employment Opportunities

Larry N Holokai, lovingly referred to as “Papa,” has returned to our Lord. An enthusiastic hunter, devoted Harley Davidson fan, Navy veteran, and recipient of the Bronze Star for his service in Vietnam, he wishes to be remembered as a true Man of God. He is survived by his wife, Anna Holokai, and their three children: Anson Holokai, Kimberly Cutler, and Clyde Holokai. Services will take place on Saturday, February 22 at Ballards, with family gathering at 8:30 AM and the general public at 9:30 AM.

Edward C. Jeffers

Edward C. Jeffers, 65, of Marietta, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born on November 29, 1959, in Watertown, NY, to Clarence Jeffers of Stanleyville and the late June Miller Jeffers.

He worked as a roofer with Bradford Roofers and ProManco. Edward enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and cherishing moments with his grandchildren. He also had a passion for showcasing his gasoline engines and working with sheet metal.

Ed is survived by his children: Bridget Jeffers, Edward C. Jeffers, and Georgina Starkey, all of Marietta, along with eight grandchildren: Charles, Alazay, Lainey, Drayden, Harley, Cash, Jameson, and David, Jr., and a great-granddaughter, Gianna. He is also survived by his brothers: Jeffery, Clarence, James, Kurt, and Joseph.

He was preceded in death by his mother and his sister, Kelly Jeffers.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, January 11, at 11:00 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home, followed by cremation. The family will receive friends on Friday at the funeral home from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. Messages of sympathy can be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
