Wilbert Howell, aged 86, of New Boston, Texas, passed away to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 24, 2024.
Born on October 28, 1938, in Dalby Springs, Texas, he was the son of Henry and Ruthell Howell. He enjoyed a successful career as a salesman at the John Henry Company and New Boston Concrete. He frequently participated in motorcycle rallies and rides, with his most significant rides being for Toys for Tots and Watersprings Ranch held annually.
He was preceded in death by his wife Glenda, his parents, and a sister. He is survived by his children and their spouses: Jimmy (Stacey) Howell, Deborah (René) Isip, Carolyn (David) Miller; five grandchildren: TW (Mandy), Courtney (Jordan) Griffin, Ryan (Megan) Isip, Jason (Jennifer) Merriman, Bryce Miller; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Memorial Services will take place at Tapp Congregational Methodist Church in New Boston, Texas, on December 2, 2024. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, followed by the service at 1:00 PM. David Goodwin and Tim Graham will officiate. In honor of Wilbert, donations may be made to the Tapp Methodist Church Building Fund or Watersprings Ranch (Texarkana, Arkansas). Arrangements are entrusted to Bates Rolf Funeral Home in New Boston, Texas.
