The judges awarded Mickey McGuire's striking image of chrome details on a Harley Davidson motorcycle as the Photo of the Month for May in the Tracy Camera Club's contest. McGuire submitted the photograph, titled “Happy Harley,” in the Open category.

“Motorcycles and hot rod engines are among my preferred subjects,” shared McGuire. “I'm drawn to the lines, angles, patterns, and reflections inherent in chrome. I frequently employ a Topaz filter to give the final picture a painterly quality, along with color adjustments to further abstract it. It appears our monthly judge appreciated it as much as I did.”

He captured the image using a Sony Alpha 7 III full-frame digital camera paired with a Sony 16-70 mm zoom lens at 21 mm.

Camera settings included an exposure time of 1/2500 of a second at F/5.6, with an ISO setting of 1250 and aperture priority mode selected.

Dover Honors Cherished Former Mayor and Harley Enthusiast with Street Renaming

Dover is preparing to bid farewell to one of its most cherished and devoted public figures this Thursday.

Just prior to the passing of former Mayor Aldo Cicchetti this week, townspeople and local leaders gathered at his family home to pay tribute to him.

On Friday, outside his childhood home on Chrystal Street, family members observed as current Mayor James Dodd unveiled a street sign designating the intersection of Chrystal and Morris streets as “Mayor Cicchetti Place.”

A familiar presence in his hometown, Cicchetti served 26 years in local government and was often seen riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle to and from Town Hall. He passed away at his home on Monday at the age of 87.

The town of Dover honored the corner of Chrystal and Morris streets as "Mayor Cicchetti Place" just three days before former public servant Aldo Cicchetti passed away on January 13 at the age of 87.

Dover Remembers Aldo Cicchetti

Visitation is set for 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Tuttle Funeral Home on Route 10 in Randolph. The funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Parish in Dover, followed by burial at Locust Hill Cemetery.

“Aldo’s leadership was characterized not by specific projects but by his unwavering dedication to the people of Dover,” remarked Dodd during the dedication.
