In Memoriam: Jerry Willbanks – The Licking News

Jerry Willbanks, aged 79, from St. Ann, Missouri, was called home to the Lord on March 5, 2025.

Born on August 20, 1945, to Climmie and Alvin Willbanks in Blooming Rose, Missouri, Jerry later worked at Fort Leonard Wood before relocating to St. Louis. There, he embarked on a lengthy career with the Defense Mapping Agency, eventually retiring to focus on his grandchildren and manage his farm.

Jerry was a devoted family man with a passion for various hobbies. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and buying and selling cars. Auctions of all types fascinated him, but nothing brought him more joy than watching his grandchildren grow. He was a gregarious individual who never met a stranger. Jerry embraced life fully and made sure everyone around him felt his enthusiasm.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Lavern and John Willbanks; sister Lauvell Crews; son Steffan Willbanks; and daughter Katherine Willbanks.

Jerry leaves behind two sons, Terry and Greg Willbanks; brothers Troy and Coy Willbanks; sisters Lura Wingenbach, Patsy Grace, and Kathy Sharp; grandchildren Chance, Chris, Cara, Ella, and Hazel; and great-grandchild Chase, along with a large and loving extended family.

A graveside service in Jerry’s honor will occur on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 12 p.m. at Beulah Cemetery, with Pastor Lonnie Case officiating. Online condolences can be shared at www.foxfh.net. The arrangements have been entrusted to Fox Funeral Home.
