Michael “Mike” Ray Foraker, aged 65, of Marietta, OH, previously from Caldwell, OH, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at OhioHealth Southeastern Med in Cambridge, OH. He was born on September 8, 1959, in Cambridge, the son of Mary Lou Gardner Vaughn of Caldwell and the late Bernard R. Foraker.
Mike was employed at Detroit Diesel in Cambridge. He had a passion for travel and enjoyed new adventures, particularly on his Tri Glide Harley Davidson motorcycle alongside his wife, Tamara. Fishing and collecting guns were among his favorite pastimes, and he was a devoted animal lover, especially of his cherished cats.
He was preceded in death by his father and stepfather, George Vaughn.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Tamara M. O’Linn Foraker, whom he married on June 28, 2014; his mother-in-law, Linda O’Linn of Marietta; brothers-in-law Tony (Mary Schmidt) O’Linn of Marietta and Todd (Tara Moore) O’Linn of Williamstown, WV. He is also remembered by numerous friends, as Mike had a knack for running into acquaintances wherever he traveled.
The family will greet friends for visitation on Sunday, January 12, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A Funeral Service will follow the visitation on the same day at 5:00 PM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Jeff Belt. A private burial will take place at Dudley Cemetery near Caldwell. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mike’s honor to Paws Inc.
