The Surprising Feature I Love Most About Harley’s Toughest Touring Motorcycle
Those impressive speakers are a highlight, and let’s not overlook the photographer capturing the moment at the bottom (that chrome finish is stunning).

During extended rides, it’s easy to zone out, which can be dangerous. Playing a bit of AC/DC, Metallica, or even Norman Greenbaum on these beauties might actually keep you alert.

Just keep in mind that the navigation’s voice is louder, which is handy until you’re cruising through a quaint town and the music lowers to let the navigation lady guide you.

Touring Insights

Although the Road Glide’s massive fairing may be less stylish than the iconic batwing of its sibling, the Street Glide, this robust ride could be the ideal choice for long hauls.

Thanks to that substantial fairing, the Road Glide stands out as one of the most comfortable highway bikes I’ve ever experienced.

With its user-friendly operating system and fantastic speakers, the extensive protection it provides allows you to ride 300 miles, say from NYC to Virginia, and arrive at your niece’s piano recital without feeling worn out.

Motorcycle Collision on Green Pond Road in Polk City Leaves One Dead and One Injured

On Saturday, May 24th, at approximately 9:40 a.m., the PCSO ECC received a 911 call concerning a motorcycle accident with injuries on Green Pond Road, close to San Juan Avenue in Polk City. A group of motorcycles, led by a 72-year-old man from Mascotte, FL, riding a Harley Davidson, was heading westbound on Green Pond Rd. As the lead motorcycle approached a right curve, it veered over the center line into the eastbound lane. Concurrently, another group of motorcycles was traveling eastbound, and the lead bike (a Ducati) in that group was struck by the 72-year-old, resulting in both riders being ejected from their bikes.

First responders arrived on the scene to find witnesses performing CPR on the 72-year-old, which continued as he was transported by Polk Fire Rescue to a local hospital. Unfortunately, despite life-saving efforts, he did not survive his injuries and was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. The Ducati rider, a 61-year-old man from Tampa, sustained broken bones and a collapsed lung and is currently hospitalized.

Mickey McGuire's striking depiction of chrome lines on a Harley Davidson motorcycle earned the judges' approval in the Tracy Camera Club Photo of the Month contest held in May. McGuire submitted his work titled "Happy Harley" in the contest's Open category.

“Motorcycles and hot rod engines are among my favorite subjects,” McGuire shared. “I love capturing the various lines, angles, patterns, and reflections of the chrome. Often, I utilize a Topaz filter to give the final image an abstract, painted appearance. Additionally, I adjusted the colors for further abstraction. Clearly, our monthly judge from the Tracy Camera Club appreciated it just as much as I did.”

He used a Sony Alpha 7 III full-frame digital camera with a Sony 16-70 mm zoom lens set at 21 mm to capture the photo.

The camera settings included an exposure of 1/2500 of a second at f/5.6 and an ISO of 1250, with aperture priority mode selected.
