Anderson Motorcyclist Dies in Crash East of Redding, According to CHP

A 45-year-old man from Anderson has died and a 41-year-old woman from Palo Cedro sustained serious injuries following a head-on collision involving a Harley Davidson motorcycle and a Honda sedan, as reported by the California Highway Patrol.

The incident occurred around 2:35 p.m. on Monday. Pamela Sutton, 50, of Whitmore was driving west on Whitmore Road in a black 2004 Civic at a speed between 55 and 60 mph, according to CHP spokesperson Jason Morton.

Near Cow Creek Ranch in Millville, Sutton’s vehicle veered into the opposing (eastbound) lane, colliding with the black Harley, as indicated by the CHP. The man from Anderson was riding the motorcycle at a speed comparable to that of Sutton’s vehicle at the time of impact.

The man and his passenger were ejected from the motorcycle and landed on the shoulder of Whitmore Road, according to the CHP.

First responders confirmed that the man died at the crash scene, while his passenger was airlifted to Mercy Medical Center in Redding with serious injuries.

Sutton also reported experiencing pain following the incident, as stated by the CHP.

Alcohol and drugs were not factors in the crash, according to the CHP.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing, and the CHP has not released the identity of the deceased man pending family notification.

Butte Motorcyclist Hospitalized After Serious Crash

Shortly before 1 a.m. on Saturday, a 36-year-old man from Butte sustained serious injuries when he crashed his Harley Davidson motorcycle into a building.

As per a police report, the individual was reportedly traveling at a high speed when he lost control, veered off the road, and collided with the entrance of the Butte Spay and Neuter facility located on South Excelsior Street.

The man was airlifted to a nearby medical center.

MECHANICSVILLE, Va. — A motorcyclist from Midlothian tragically lost his life on Sunday due to a crash in Mechanicsville.

The Hanover County Sheriff’s Office has named the victim as 25-year-old Tyler Lowe, hailing from Midlothian, Virginia.

“At about 9:30 p.m., our deputies were dispatched to the 7200 block of Walnut Grove Road in Mechanicsville following a single-vehicle motorcycle accident,” stated investigators. “Initial findings indicate that a 2006 Harley Davidson was heading west on Walnut Grove Road when it veered off the right side of the road, colliding with a mailbox and a fence, resulting in the rider being ejected.”

The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.

Authorities in Lehigh County have disclosed the identity of the motorcyclist who tragically lost his life in a collision on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

On Monday, Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio confirmed that the deceased was John Joseph Sweeney, a 50-year-old resident of Bristol.

Authorities reported that Sweeney was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which took place around 9:09 a.m. on Sunday in Washington Township, Lehigh County.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police Troop T Pocono Station, a 24-year-old woman from Perth Amboy, New Jersey, was driving a 2019 Honda HRV southbound in the northbound lanes when her SUV collided with two motorcycles that were part of a group of six.

Sweeney was riding a 2016 Harley Davidson at the time of the crash, according to law enforcement.

Additionally, a 24-year-old man from Bristol sustained injuries in the accident and was treated at the scene by Northern Valley Emergency Medical Services before being transferred to Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest.

The Honda HRV driver suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash.

Northbound traffic on the highway was rerouted at the Lehigh Valley exit, while access to the northbound lanes from State Route 22 was restricted. The southbound lanes remained operational on Sunday, according to state police.

The Pennsylvania State Police Troop T Pocono Station, in collaboration with the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office, is persistently investigating the deadly incident.

Investigators are urging anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward. Witnesses can reach out to the station at 570-443-9511 and reference incident number PA2025-379419.

A man from Taylorsville lost his life in a motorcycle accident on N.C. 16 in Alexander County on the evening of Friday, March 28.

In a statement released to The Wilkes Record, N.C. Highway Patrol Master Trooper Christopher M. Casey reported:

“On Friday, March 28, at around 5:40 p.m., the N.C. State Highway Patrol responded to and investigated a fatal incident in Alexander County on N.C. 16 at Millersville Road. A 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle heading south on N.C. 16 attempted to turn left onto Millersville Road and veered in front of a northbound 2007 Audi A4.”

Casey continued, “The rider of the Harley Davidson, Samuel Jarrett Killian, 35, from Taylorsville, was ejected from the motorcycle and unfortunately did not survive due to his injuries at the scene. A passenger on the motorcycle was also ejected and was airlifted to a local hospital in critical condition.”

According to Casey, the driver of the Audi, Lane Neal Tevepaugh, 18, from Taylorsville, remained unharmed.

“Preliminary findings do not suggest that impairment or excessive speed were contributing factors. During the investigation at the scene, the road was closed for approximately two hours,” Casey noted, adding, “No charges will be filed in connection with this incident.”

A motorcyclist sustained facial injuries in a hit-and-run incident on Wednesday in Mission Valley, according to San Diego police.

The incident occurred at 2:25 p.m. when an unidentified driver in a dark gray SUV was heading north on Texas Street, while a 55-year-old man was riding his 2004 Harley Davidson southbound. The SUV executed a U-turn directly in front of the motorcyclist, resulting in a collision. The driver then fled the scene.

The injured motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital by medics, suffering from a broken nose and a significant forehead laceration. Fortunately, his injuries are not deemed life-threatening.

It remains unclear whether alcohol played a role in the accident. The investigation will be managed by the Traffic Division of the San Diego police.

A motorcycle rider succumbed to her injuries following a traffic accident on Wednesday night in Orion Township, as reported by the Oakland County (Michigan) Sheriff’s Office.

The incident occurred around 8 p.m. at the intersection of Lapeer Road and Morgan Hill Drive.

The rider, Jennifer Marie Billington, 48, from Lake Orion Village, was operating a 2012 Harley Davidson FLHX motorcycle northbound on Lapeer Road when a 42-year-old man from Royal Oak, driving a 2020 Dodge Caravan, failed to yield while entering the roadway from Morgan Hill Drive. The motorcycle collided with the driver’s side of the van, according to deputies.

Deputies performed lifesaving measures until EMS arrived, after which the victim was transported to McLauren Oakland Hospital, where she later passed away from her injuries.

Billington was wearing a helmet during the incident.

The driver of the van was wearing a seatbelt and thankfully wasn’t injured in the accident.

The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Unit is conducting an ongoing investigation.

Mr. Williams, a scaffolding manager originally from Lichfield and residing in Cannock, was riding a Triumph Rocket three-wheeled trike when the incident occurred around 11:18 am. The other vehicles involved included a Harley Davidson trike and a Hyundai i10 car. According to the West Midlands Ambulance Service, the Harley Davidson rider was hospitalized with injuries that are not considered life-threatening, while the car driver remained unharmed.

An air ambulance helicopter was dispatched alongside paramedics in two road ambulances.

An inquest into Mr. Williams’ death was initiated at Shropshire Coroner’s Court at the Guildhall in Shrewsbury on Tuesday, March 18.

The hearing revealed that paramedics and police were dispatched to the site; however, despite their best efforts, they could not save Mr. Williams, who was pronounced dead at the location. His body was identified by his spouse.

John Ellery, senior coroner for Shropshire, Telford, and Wrekin, postponed the inquest to be fully heard on July 17 of this year.

Following the crash, West Mercia Police issued a public appeal for video evidence and additional information.

A spokesperson commented: “We encourage anyone who was in the vicinity during this time and may have witnessed the incident, or possesses dashcam footage of either the collision or the vehicles in the minutes prior, to come forward.”

Motorcyclist Dies in Crash in Hamilton City | Glenn County

HAMILTON CITY, Calif. – A motorcyclist lost his life following a collision between a car and a motorcycle on Sunday evening, according to the CHP.

At approximately 6:35 p.m., a 2022 Tesla was heading west on Highway 32, nearing Sacramento Avenue. According to the CHP, the Tesla entered the left turn lane to turn south onto Sacramento Ave.

Simultaneously, a 43-year-old man from Forest Ranch was riding a 2022 Harley Davidson motorcycle east on Highway 32, also approaching Sacramento Ave. The CHP reported that as the Harley Davidson approached, the Tesla, driven by a 40-year-old man from Hamilton City, initiated a left turn.

The CHP indicated that the Tesla driver failed to notice the motorcycle during the turn, leading to the motorcycle colliding with the left front of the Tesla. Both the Tesla and the motorcycle continued traveling east before hitting a stop sign.

The impact ejected the motorcyclist, who sustained fatal injuries, as stated by the CHP.

The driver of the Tesla stopped and remained at the scene. The CHP noted that there were no indications of drugs or alcohol being involved at this time.
