Dennis R. Cardone

Dennis R. Cardone, aged 82, previously of Frewsburg, passed away peacefully at his home in Jamestown on Friday, March 21, 2025.

Born on July 11, 1942, in Jamestown, he was the son of the late Frank and Maxine Ferry Cardone.

He graduated from Jamestown High School.

Dennis was an enthusiastic member of the Goldwing motorcycle group in Warren, PA. Over the years, he owned numerous motorcycles, but his last Harley Davidson held a special place in his heart. He customized it with a sidecar so that his beloved Karolyn could join him at various motorcycle events, including Sturgis. Together, they explored countless destinations across the United States in their RV, and he found joy in singing karaoke.

Prior to his retirement, he worked at Kane Innovations, and earlier in his career, he drove a delivery truck for a local beer distributor.

Dennis is survived by his two sons: Dion R. Cardone and Kirk M. (Debbie) Cardone; two grandchildren, Jessica Cardone and Cory (Carolanne) Cardone; one great-grandchild, Sophia Cardone; a sister, Paula Cardone; and a brother, Bud (Rose) Cobb.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Karolyn M. Cardone, who passed away on September 18, 2023; a son, David Cardone; a sister, Bonnie Travis; and four brothers: Ralph, James, Frank, and Gregory Cardone.

A graveside service is scheduled for 11 am on Friday, March 28, 2025, at Maple Grove Cemetery in Frewsburg. There will be no visitation.

ROBERT NIEHAUS | Updates, Sports, Employment Opportunities

Robert Edward “Bob” Niehaus, 78, of Triadelphia, WV, passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Wheeling Hospital – WVU.

Born in Wheeling, WV, on September 8, 1946, he was the son of the late Joseph and Helen (Biedel) Niehaus. Bob was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during the Vietnam War. After his military service, he returned home and worked as a coal miner, ultimately retiring from Consol Energy after many years of devoted service. He was an active member of New Life Fellowship, the Elm Grove Eagles, and the Eagle Riders. Bob loved riding motorcycles, particularly his Harley Davidson, and enjoyed playing darts with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Niehaus.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Linda (Quiring) Niehaus; daughters, Lori Anderson and Robin (Rich) Berisford; step-sons, Jacob (Lisa) Stone and Jefferson (Rhonda) Stone; step-daughter, Jennifer Stone; and grandchildren, Kersten, Kara, Blake, Sara, Abigail, Nyklas, Brook, Gebriella, and Josie. He also leaves behind great-grandchildren, Kaydon, Braydon, and Samuel, along with several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at Altmeyer Funeral Homes, Elm Grove Chapel, located at 154 Kruger St., from 2 PM until the time of the service at 4 PM, officiated by Rev. Gino Vercellotti.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Wheeling Soup Kitchen at www.tmcfunding.com.

Larry N Holokai, lovingly referred to as “Papa,” has returned to our Lord. An enthusiastic hunter, devoted Harley Davidson fan, Navy veteran, and recipient of the Bronze Star for his service in Vietnam, he wishes to be remembered as a true Man of God. He is survived by his wife, Anna Holokai, and their three children: Anson Holokai, Kimberly Cutler, and Clyde Holokai. Services will take place on Saturday, February 22 at Ballards, with family gathering at 8:30 AM and the general public at 9:30 AM.

In Memory of Jeffrey W. Fauvie (1964-2025) | News, Sports, and Opportunities

WARREN — Jeffrey W. Fauvie, aged 60, of Warren, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at his residence.

Born on October 24, 1964, in Warren, he was the son of the late James E. and Joyce A. Jackson Fauvie.

Jeffrey took pride in being a Warren Western Reserve Raider and later earned a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Youngstown State University.

He held the position of Supervisor at Cleveland Cliffs Inc.

Passionate about sports, Jeff was a dedicated fan of the Yankees, Steelers, and Dolphins. He also enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, visiting the casino, and spending time with his cats.

He is survived by his brothers, James (Dawn) Fauvie and John (Lynn) Fauvie; his sisters, Kimberly (Phil) Webb and Felicia (Steve) Fauvie; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved cat, PC (Porch Cat).

No services will be held at this time.

Jeff will find his final resting place in Damascus Cemetery, Salem.

The family entrusted Carl W. Hall Funeral Home with the cremation services.

In Jeff’s memory, the family requests donations be made to your local cat rescue.
