Exciting Press Conference Recap leading up to the June 14 Westchester County Pro Boxing. Star Boxing and Empire Harley-Davidson unite fighters and fans ahead of this Saturday’s confrontation…

WHITE PLAINS, NY (June 10, 2025) – The energy was palpable yesterday at Empire Harley Davidson in New Rochelle, NY, as Star Boxing hosted a live press conference previewing the highly awaited “Prospects Collide” fight card scheduled for June 14 at the Westchester County Center in White Plains.

The “Prospects Collide” Press Conference attracted media, fans, and fight insiders for an uncensored glimpse at the fighters preparing to enter the ring on June 14. The venue, filled with chrome, leather, and a rich legacy, served as a perfect setting for rising boxing talents to engage with the press and supporters just days before their matches.

The highlight of the card features title fight contestants—Rajon “Picasso” Chance and undefeated Yan Carlos “El Baka” Perez —who faced off in a tense staredown, giving a sneak peek into their Super Bantamweight NBA Title main event. Notable fan favorites, unbeaten Harley Burke, a Yonkers Irish-American, confronted Bronx fighter and FDNY’s Louis Maietta. Also present were Dominican star Rodrigo Marte, alongside emerging New York prospects Austin Cassese and Sharif One.

President & CEO of Star Boxing, Joe DeGuardia, underscored the essence of the event aligned with the venue:

“We are excited to partner with Harley-Davidson, a historic brand symbolizing freedom, strength, and heart—qualities that resonate deeply in boxing and what we embody at Star Boxing.”

“We’re bringing back the old-school magic on June 14,” said DeGuardia. “We’ve got 50/50 matchups like Chance vs. Perez and O’Rourke vs. Sylla, along with local clashes that highlight the uniqueness of this card—Burke vs. Maietta is one of those tough, pride-on-the-line battles you seldom see today. These are genuine fights, not just fighters with padded records, and that’s essential for boxing.”

Press Conference Highlights…

Rajon ‘Picasso’ Chance vs. Yan Carlos ‘El Baka’ Perez:

“This is going to be an exciting fight, and I’m ready to present my best self,” said Yan-Carlos Perez.

“I’m thrilled for this match, and it feels great to be back in the spotlight. I love the Boxer vs. Puncher dynamic… only time will tell who can truly deliver a punch, and I can’t wait for Saturday Night,” said Rajon ‘Picasso’ Chance.

Harley Burke vs. Louis Maietta:

“Irish vs. Italian. Yonkers vs. Bronx. This fight sells itself…” said Harley Burke.

“Can’t wait for Saturday! We’re poised to put on a fantastic performance,” added Lou Maietta.

Rodrigo Marte:

“I’m coming this Saturday for yet another victory, and I’m determined to get it,” stated Rodrigo Marte.

Austin Cassese:

“This fight will end with a knockout… whether it’s a body shot or something else, I’m here to win,” asserted Austin Cassese.

Sharif One (Pro-Debut):

“I’m just ready to deliver an unforgettable show! When I step into that ring… I plan on making a statement,” declared Sharif One.

Kyle Hildebrand, General Manager, Empire Harley-Davidson:

“We’re thrilled about this collaboration and look forward to nurturing it for years ahead. We’ll be there in full force on Saturday night… it’s going to be an incredible event!”

Ryan O’Rourke (Dublin, Ireland), Boubacar Sylla (Cincinnati, Ohio), Austin Spivey (Miami, Florida), and Eduardo Monrreal (El Paso, Texas) are flying into NY later this week and couldn’t attend the press conference.

The judges awarded Mickey McGuire's striking image of chrome details on a Harley Davidson motorcycle as the Photo of the Month for May in the Tracy Camera Club's contest. McGuire submitted the photograph, titled “Happy Harley,” in the Open category.

“Motorcycles and hot rod engines are among my preferred subjects,” shared McGuire. “I'm drawn to the lines, angles, patterns, and reflections inherent in chrome. I frequently employ a Topaz filter to give the final picture a painterly quality, along with color adjustments to further abstract it. It appears our monthly judge appreciated it as much as I did.”

He captured the image using a Sony Alpha 7 III full-frame digital camera paired with a Sony 16-70 mm zoom lens at 21 mm.

Camera settings included an exposure time of 1/2500 of a second at F/5.6, with an ISO setting of 1250 and aperture priority mode selected.
