Launched amidst a thrilling Harley-Davidson burnout last month, the new city hotspot Deadbeat embraces a down-to-earth vibe that patrons are absolutely enjoying.
Inspired by hair metal, this cocktail and can bar is the creation of operations manager Adrian “Adi” Ruiz, a seasoned figure previously associated with Baxter Inn, Rockpool Bar & Grill Sydney, Mona, Black Pearl, and his very own Bulletin Place in Sydney.
On the other hand, award-winning venue manager Benjamin Thomson brings his talents from notable establishments like The Beaufort, The Rechabite, and most recently, Margot’s.
The menu at Deadbeat offers a nostalgic twist: think French onion toasties and spicy jalapeno potato gems, all accompanied by vibrant cocktails and craft beers.
In just six weeks since opening its doors, this lively venue has garnered 20 five-star reviews on Google, with customers praising its “world-class service,” “exceptional atmosphere,” and “fantastic drinks.”
One visitor expressed her delight, stating that she had never before left a Google review, but felt compelled to do so after her remarkable experience.
“I’ve never left a Google review in my life but Deadbeat was so good that it has me changing my ways!” she shared.
“All the drinks were fantastic! The atmosphere is amazing! The staff are awesome!”
“We even had the opportunity to leave a message on the walls, which was a really cool touch! I loved the entire experience; I cannot recommend this place highly enough and will definitely return every time I go out!”
The venue boasts a dark, captivating ambiance adorned with zebra and red leather sofas, a massive Harley Davidson mural, eye-catching neon signs, and pool tables.
To visit, just follow the red neon sign off Murray Street in the CBD to find this 140-capacity glam-rock retreat tucked away behind Pirate Life Perth.
Deadbeat welcomes guests Wednesday to Saturday, from 4 PM until late.

The limited edition Street 750 features a fresh color scheme along with decals on both the tank and tail section. It showcases a classic round headlamp and stylish black alloy wheels.
Powered by a 749cc, liquid-cooled V-twin engine, the motorcycle adheres to BS-VI emission standards. This engine delivers 60 Nm of torque @ 3,750 rpm and is coupled with a 6-speed gearbox.
The Street 750 is equipped with front telescopic fork suspension with rubber gaiters and dual shock absorbers at the rear. It comes with disc brakes on both ends and includes dual-channel ABS for enhanced safety.
This marks Harley Davidson’s first motorcycle compliant with BS-VI emission standards! It somewhat faded in the spotlight due to the unveiling of the LiveWire electric motorcycle at the same event.
When will Harley understand that merely new stickers and paint jobs don’t make a new bike? After more than 100 years, one would hope they would have learned this by now.
