Thunderbolts, a Marvel Studios film that premiered on May 2, 2025, highlights the 2025 Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250 ST. Early in the film, Bucky Barnes, also known as the Winter Soldier, rides the Pan America 1250 ST during a high-stakes desert chase and battle.

Heidi Moneymaker, the stunt coordinator for Thunderbolts, expressed her admiration for the Pan America’s abilities. “I hope people realize that everything you see is real, and the stock Pan America ST is shown weaving through traffic and performing wheelies as it halts,” Moneymaker noted.
“During the creation of the chase sequence, we were curious about what the Pan America could handle. Once it arrived and we tested it out, the bike’s agility and sporty feel allowed for a myriad of impressive stunts and tricks without difficulty,” she added.
Insights from the stunt driver
Stunt double Joe Dryden, who operated the Pan America 1250 ST during the chase in Thunderbolts, had no prior experience with the bike. However, upon seeing it, he instantly believed it would suit their needs.
“It performed superbly, allowing me to find traction in situations I wouldn’t have expected,” Dryden remarked.
“The brakes and suspension of this bike set it apart from any other Harley-Davidson I’ve ridden; it retains the spirit of a Harley but handles much more like a dual-sport—or even a sport bike—thanks to its wheel-and-tire setup.”
2025 Pan America 1250 ST Overview
Designed for enhanced on-road performance, the 2025 Pan America 1250 ST features a lowered suspension and a one-piece seat for easier mounting and better control during aggressive cornering. It is equipped with 17-inch wheels and Michelin Scorcher Sport tires.
