Tex Salisbury | News from Wallaceburg

Mr. Tex Frederick George Salisbury, a resident of Chatham, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 20, 2025, surrounded by family at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, at the age of 68.

Born in Chatham, Tex was the son of the late Charles Salisbury and the late Mary Bedard (née Marsh). He was a cherished husband to Kari Salisbury (née Thomas) for 42 years.

Tex was a devoted father to Tabitha (Jeremy), Teresa-Lyn (Joe), Cheryl (Eric), Mary Jean, and David.

He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren Victoria, Jeffrey, Josh, Telisa, Lukus, Ocean, Harley, and Sonny, as well as his great-grandchildren Declan, Charlotte, and Eivor.

Tex is survived by his kind siblings Bonnie (Don) Leveille and Mary (Tim) Bechard, along with numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends. He was predeceased by his sister Christine “Cricket” Van Boven.

Enjoying fishing, a passion for Harley Davidson motorcycles, and attending the Friday the 13th gatherings in Port Dover with his best friend Chucky were some of his favorite pastimes.

He treasured spending time with his wife, daughters, and grandchildren.

The arrangements are entrusted to the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd., located at 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg.

Visitation will occur on Sunday, March 23, 2025, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., with cremation to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Parkinson’s Society can be made at the funeral home.
