Whenever in Manhattan, we prefer staying at the The W New York on Lexington Ave. Midtown is perfect for walking to the main points of interest.
I purchased this 1978-1/2 FLH Electra Glide (Shovelhead), in a frail condition back in the early Fall of 1985. It was worn-out. With the help of my mechanic and friend Dave Martini of NW Custom Cycles and my friend Billy Avey from the Seattle Cossacks, we rebuilt it from the ground up. It was a daily drive for me, rain, snow, and or shine for over 17 years in Seattle. I recently replaced the vintage Electra Glide at 92,000 plus miles with a new black Harley-Davidson FLHTPI, – I miss my old shovelhead though.
Vanessa stands tall at 5′-10" and the old Electra Glide at 29" height and both always turn heads wherever they go.
My HD is photoshopped into this image.
