55-Year-Old Richard Wing Killed in Arlington Motorcycle Accident; Thomas Kelly Jr. Arrested

Arlington, TX – The authorities have identified the victim of a fatal collision involving a suspected drunk driver as Richard Wing, 55, from Dallas.

Wing was riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle on N. Collins Street when he was struck head-on by a 20024 Chevy Silverado, operated by Thomas Kelly Jr., 27, near NE Green Oaks Boulevard.

He was declared dead at the scene.

Kelly faces charges of intoxication manslaughter, collision involving death, and tampering.

Arlington, TX – A motorcycle rider, aged 55, was killed in a traffic accident involving a suspected drunk driver in Arlington early Saturday morning.

The fatal incident transpired shortly after 1 a.m. on November 26 on N. Collins Street, near NE Green Oaks Boulevard.

According to Arlington police, a 20024 Chevy Silverado, driven by Thomas Kelly Jr., 27, collided head-on with a Harley Davidson.

Richard Wing Dies in Arlington Motorcycle Collision

An initial investigation indicated that the Chevy was heading northbound on N. Collins and was weaving through lanes in an attempt to overtake other vehicles. The Chevy swerved into the center lane and collided head-on with the motorcycle, which was making a turn.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

Further investigation revealed that after the fatal incident, Kelly was observed discarding cans from inside the vehicle into a nearby field before attempting to flee the scene.

Arlington police report that Kelly is charged with intoxication manslaughter, collision involving death, and tampering.

The investigation is ongoing.
