Seen at Whitstable Harbour today, a Wartime Harley Davidson in authentic condition, he even had a Thompson in the holster non the forks. Much better than immaculate condition, this was rather like a window on to history.

Ils étaient tous là, Mad Max et sa bande, les Troop de Toulon, les Bandidos de France, les Brothers of the Third Whell, les Free Bird Friends, les Hellfest, Les Amis Motorisés du Sud, tous pour écouter Bad Reflection et Southern Spirit aux Sablettes, 2 groupes hard-rock qui jouent à la chaise musicale !

Eh oui, je prends deux musicos ( Arnaud lead-guitar et Sergi chanteur ), je les fusionne à un nouveau bassiste ( Gaëtan ) et à un batteur électronique ( Fabrice ) et ça sonne " Bad Reflection ", je les reprends avec Yves à la basse et Daniel à la rythmique et ça se transforme en Southern Spirit. Quid pensez-vous ?

On va dire que pour les ressemblances les deux formations ont le même style Canadair à décibels, le lead-guitariste virtuose Arnaud a toujours la gâchette qui flingue à tout va, j’en veux sa prestation au sein de la foule à l’autre bout de la scène, un vieux me dit " mais c’est lui qui joue, y a pas de câble ? ", ben non mon pote c’est comme le smartphone y a pas de fil, d’ailleurs va plus y avoir de cordes non plus vu les bends à la Musclor et la mitraille de gammes pentatoniques ou myxolydiennes, que sais-je, le tout dans une débauche d’effets pyrotechniques due aux pédales wha-wha, reverb et multi-timbres, une tuerie quoi…. interrompue par de tendres bisous à Marion son amoureuse présente dans le public. Sergi son jumeau vocal en profite pour reprendre la voix en bon rockeur, déhanchements et pied micro kung-fu fighter pendant que la section rythmique assure le groove.

Pour les différences on va dire que le Southern Spirit assure les gros tubes rock inoxydables Claptoniens ou Lynyrd Skynyrdiens alors que Bad Reflection se consacre à des compositions personnelles, plutôt réussies, toujours hard-rock-blues, accords mineurs et diminués à 3 ou 4 cordes et même pour les initiés une balade aux portes du métal mélodique, pas si mauvaise reflexion en somme !
